The SEED Model
Planting the Foundations of Self-Development
The SEED Model introduces elementary students to the earliest stages of self-development.nJust as a tree begins with a seed, the relationship a child develops with themselves begins in the earliest years of growth. These formative years shape how young people see themselves, interact with others, and respond to the world around them. The SEED Model was designed to plant the internal foundations that support healthy development throughout a child’s life.
Why the Early Years Matter
Elementary school is one of the most important developmental periods in a child’s life.
During this stage, children begin forming:
• their self-image
• their relationship with learning
• their emotional responses to challenges
• their sense of belonging and identity
The SEED Model introduces concepts that help children begin building a healthy internal relationship with themselves.
Learning Through the Tree
The SEED Model uses the metaphor of a tree to help children visualize their development.
Children learn that just like a tree:
• they have roots that ground them
• they grow stronger over time
• they influence the environment around them
• their growth depends on how they nurture themselves
By helping children see themselves as growing trees, the SEED Model encourages self-awareness, resilience, and positive development from the earliest stages.
Planting Seeds for Lifelong Growth
When children learn how to understand themselves early, those seeds grow into stronger confidence, healthier relationships, and greater resilience later in life.
The SEED Model introduces the foundational concepts that later expand through the other Pulsework activations.
What begins as a seed eventually becomes growth.
